Honoring City hall Employees at Houston City hall

Recognition of 8 employees of City of Houston, at the City Hall on Tuesday 24 July 2018 by the Islamic Arts Society of Houston.
Exactly a year ago Mayor Turner officially inaugurated the Islamic Arts Exhibition that had commenced on the eve of the US Independence Day.
A week later the devastation of Harvey and flooding at the city Hall had put into question the survival of the Art Exhibit in the flooded tunnel connecting the two city halls.
However these dedicated employees had other ideas and were determined to go above and beyond the call of the duty. They not only retrieved the artwork as the tunnels flooded, cleaned it, and stored it safely, while we all at the IAS had lost all hopes m. Few weeks later it was delivered to the artists in pristine condition by the same employees.
We wanted to honor them by bringing them to the city hall in front of the City Council and the Mayor.
