The Islamic Arts Society presented a lecture and workshop at the College of Charleston’s School of Education. The event was organized by the Charleston Interreligious Council and is part of the series on interfaith dialogue focusing on Art and Spirituality. The Lecture titled “Islamic Art: A Shared Legacy” focused on the commonalities in art between different cultures and traditions. The lecture was followed by a hands-on workshop on Arabic calligraphy. The lecture and workshop were presented by Dr. Khawaja Azimuddin.
